Construction of a Primitive Bow

From a stave to a functional bow with your own hands

In this course, you will connect with the material, understand and recognize what lies dormant within it, and using the simplest tools, turn a split piece of wood into a finished bow. Over the course of two days, we will build our personal bows together.

Seasoning of the wood
Tools for the craft
Types of bows and design planning
Working with a growth ring
Tiller
Making bowstrings
Finishing the bow
Preparation of 3 arrows
Bow tuning

The course lasts 2 days and is available by prior reservation only. (Minimum age: 16 years / Minimum number of participants: 2 / Maximum number of participants: 5)
